The Katsina State Government has received a consignment of 15 newly procured ambulances as part of its sustained efforts to strengthen emergency healthcare delivery and improve access to quality medical services across the state.

The ambulances were formally received on behalf of the State Government by the Chief of Staff, who led other top government officials and dignitaries to the reception event. The development underscores the administration’s strong commitment to saving lives, improving response time to medical emergencies, and reinforcing the healthcare system at all levels

Speaking at the occasion, the Chief of Staff noted that the procurement of the ambulances aligns with the vision of the Katsina State Government to prioritize the health and wellbeing of citizens. He emphasized that efficient emergency medical services are critical to reducing avoidable deaths, especially in cases of accidents, maternal emergencies, and other life-threatening health conditions.

He further stated that the ambulances will be strategically deployed to key health facilities and emergency response units across the state to ensure equitable coverage, rapid response, and maximum impact, particularly in rural and hard-to-reach communities.

The Chief of Staff also commended the collective efforts of relevant ministries, departments, and agencies involved in the procurement process, describing the initiative as a clear demonstration of the government’s resolve to invest in people-centered development

Other government dignitaries present at the event equally reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure, improving service delivery, and ensuring that public health facilities are adequately equipped to meet the needs of the growing population.
